Drama set in the thirties Copenhagen. The 12-year old Emma runs away from her cold wealthy home and makes it look as if she has been kidnapped like Charles Lindbergh’s child. In the environment around the tavern Nøsen on Nørrebro, she meets the Swedish sewer worker Malthe. They are both isolated people, and a peculiar friendship arises between them.

“EMMA’S SHADOW shines brightly…a sweet, touching Danish film.” New York Post
